The Song of Solomon 1:4 says, “Draw me. We will run after You!” Only Jesus can help me, deliver me and come to my aid. Only Jesus hears and knows my voice out of the billions of people on the earth. Only Jesus hears my whispered prayer. Only Jesus can reach down and rescue me and pull me out of many waters (Psalm 18). Jesus is my Lord and King. He is my Champion, my Healer, my Protector and Defender.
The world says it has the answer in “things” buying something, having something, driving something, eating something. The world does not have power to contain the ocean. The world does not have a sweet tender presence we can run to. Only Jesus! He is all I want and need. He is able. He wants us for His own. He wants us to seek His face. Only Jesus!
