Psalm 27:13 AMP “What would have become of me had I not believed that I would see the Lord’s goodness in the land of the living. Wait and hope for and expect the Lord; be brave and of good courage.Let your heart be stout and enduring. Yes, wait for and hope for and expect the Lord.”
I have many conditions and situations in my life that need change, They desperately need a touch from the Lord. In looking at them in the natural, with natural eyes, they seem unchangeable and hopeless. Yet the Bible tells me to wait for the Lord in these areas of my life. It says to hope for the Lord (his outcome) in these situations that have me bogged down. The Bible says to expect the Lord in these conditions that honestly look hopeless to me. Yet, I am told to be brave that these conditions and situations are not the end. I am told to have courage and endure through these times and expect the Lord to change them.
I know in times past if I had not believed in the intervention of God in my life I would have ended up in very dire straights. I would not be anywhere where I am now and for that I am very thankful to God.
I need to make my heart have faith. I need to take every negative thought going through my mind in captivity to the Spirit of Christ Jesus. I need to have faith that things will change not because of my worthiness, NO. I Change will happen Not because of anything special about me, NO. Change will come when I partner with God and expect him to come and help me. I need to have faith and say to myself, “God can change this. Do not fear.”
A prayer we could pray: “God help me to hope in you. Help me to expect that these situations in my life will change by your grace. I give you my life. I give you my heart. Forgive me for the times I have fallen short and sinned against you. Create in me a clean heart. Guide me and lead me by your spirit. I want to know you and your presence in a personal way. I want to hear your still small voice. Help me to wait for you. Help me to hope for you. Help me to expect you. Show yourself strong in my behalf in Jesus” name amen.
