“Get out of bed, Jerusalem! Wake up! Put your face in the sunlight. God’s bright glory has risen for you. The whole earth is wrapped in darkness, all people sunk in deep darkness, But God rises on you, his sunrise glory breaks over you. Nations will come to your light, kings to your sunburst brightness. Look up! Look around! Watch as they gather, watch as they approach you: Your sons coming from great distances, your daughters carried by their nannies. When you see them coming you’ll smile-big smiles! Your heart will swell and, yes, burst! Isaiah 60:1-9 The Message
“Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD has risen upon you. For behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and thick darkness the peoples; but the Lord will arise upon you, and his glory will be see upon you. And nations shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising. Lift up your eyes all around, and see; they all gather together, they come to you; your sons shall come from afar, and your daughters shall be carried on the hip. Then you shall see and be radiant; your heart shall thrill and exult, because the abundance of the sea shall be turned to you, the wealth of the nations shall come to you.”Isaiah 60:1-5 ESV
God is rising on us, on you and me, as the world gets darker. When we have the light of Christ shining from inside of us we are equipped by God’s Holy Spirit to shine out and reach out to those who are around us. “The Lord will arise on us, and His glory will be seen on us.”
These are unusual times. Times for us to draw near to God and He will draw near to us. It’s time for us to separate ourselves to Him in purity. God’s favor is on us. He is bringing change to our families.
If you haven’t invited Christ into your heart you can do that now. Say this prayer, “Father forgive me of my sins. I repent. I give my life to you. I want you to come and live in my heart. I leave my sinful ways. I open the doors of my heart to receive you. I want to read Your word and know you more in the name above every name, Jesus.
